How to Play Spider Solitaire and Win More Often
Spider Solitaire uses two decks and ten columns of cards. It is harder than classic solitaire, but a few habits make a big difference.
The goal
You win by building eight complete runs of cards in the same suit, from King down to Ace. When a run is complete, it is removed from the table. You can place a card on another card that is one rank higher, whatever the suit, but you can only move a group of cards together if they are in the same suit and in order.
Dealing from the stock
When you run out of moves, click the stock pile to deal a new row of cards, one on each column. Many versions only let you do this when every column has at least one card, so be careful about emptying columns too soon.
Tips
Try to uncover the hidden cards first, since they are the ones you do not know. Keep runs in the same suit whenever you can, because mixed-suit runs get stuck. Make an empty column if possible; it gives you room to move things around. Rules differ slightly between versions, so use the help in the game if something is unclear.
